I built my website in Expressins Web 4 with template files. Should these
tags and other things (eg, the google analytics stuff) go in the uneditable
    template, or on individual pages?

Indeed, a thorough walk through for the few basics of SEO. It is true they
say that meta tags are no longer important for SEO but this does not mean
they should be ignored. Meta tags are still very important because they
help search engines in identifying what your website is all about. I prefer
to use dynamic meta tags so that search engines will have a clearer idea on
what my site is really about.
